I moved to Tempe, Arizona in 1981 and started my hospitality career with a brand new hotel. Left Tempe for Aurora, CO for another hotel (great job offer). Moved back to Louisiana (1984) and met my husband. In fact we were engaged at our 10 year reunion. We moved to Augusta, GA for his job (1993) and finally I was expecting our first child (1994). We moved back home before he was born. I was a stay-at-home Mom and our daughter was born (1998). I started my own business in 2000, Professional Assistant & Concierge, then I knew I needed a “Full” time job with “Full” time pay so I re-entered (2005) Hospitality as a General Manager of a hotel here in Baton Rouge. After our mother passed in 2007 I went back into the family restaurant to help my brother Randy open a second location in Drussila shopping center.
My son is 14 and quite the athlete and my daughter is 10 and is a wonderful jazz and tap dancer. And scary enough she looks JUST like me!
I am a member of the Krewe of Artemis (An All woman Krewe of about 200) we roll in downtown Baton Rouge.
I can’t wait to see all of my classmates and look forward to catching up.

I have enjoyed reading about what everyone has been doing. My husband Jerry and I have been married 25 years. He is from California and moved to Baton Rouge when we got married. Our home is in Baton Rouge. We have three children. Our youngest Jacob is 15 and is homeschooled by our classmate Mary Summers Whisnant (who is an awesome teacher!). Our daughter Alex is 18 and recently graduated from The Brighton School. She will be attending Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School in December. My step-son Tim is 26, he graduated from Bishop Sullivan, and he is now a Chemical Inspector at Dow. We have enjoyed living in Baton Rouge and being close to family and friends. Looking forward to seeing you all! |
