Can't believe its been 30 years already. Wow. I've been in pretty much every state in the country, and right now I'm in North Carolina. My wife died 2 years ago and the three girls and one boy are all grown and living on their own, 2 of them married, the other 2 single. Also have 3 grandchildren. Wow, am I really that old?
I'm a disaster recovery specialist that deals strictly in low voltage wiring; cables, computers, and digital phone systems.
The disaster part is why I end up running all over the country. There are 10 of us in the company and wherever a natural disaster happens, we end up going there. Spent 8 months in New Orleans after Katrina.
Looking forward to seeing everybody and catching up on past times, assuming some disaster doesn't call first.

Thanks to all who have been involved with the Reunion! Graduated LSU and found myself as a Dallas police officer for five years. Guess I made up for the all times I was in trouble as a kid. Moved to Denver where I can became a "jack-booted thug" according to Dr. Don, got married to a mob boss's grand daughter who left me for a thoroughbred (something about being a gelding) and moved to the DC area 15 years ago. I've been overseas too many times to count and still no one knocks on my door asking me if I'm their daddy! Settled in, settled down, became a tactical K9 handler for my outfit and 19 years later, the dog catcher is still looking for me. God's path, my steps! Looking forward to seeing old friends and sharing new times with all.

We had such a large senior class; there are quite a few names and faces (“then” and “now”) that I don’t recognize. Am I the only one, or is Alzheimer’s setting in early? I think I spent way too much time hanging out in the band room or at Mr. Gatti’s…
I had a slow career start. After BHS, I was in and out of LSU with no clear direction and working construction between off semesters. Finally, I got my act together and learned a trade as a machinist, then eventually landed a job in the LSU Physics & Astronomy Dept. as a technician/welder/machinist. Then while working for LSU fulltime, I enrolled in Engineering Technology and finally graduated in 1989. My experience with high vacuum technology and cryogenics, both widely used in the Physics Dept., led to my to my big break at GE Medical Systems in Florence, SC where I was hired as a design engineer and designed superconducting magnets for MRI’s used in diagnostic imaging. Since then, I’ve worked for GE in several states and have held many positions over the last 19 years. I’m currently an Advanced Mfg Engineer working for GE Energy in Greenville, SC where we design & build power generating gas turbines and the 1.5 MW wind turbines that you see on TV.
I’m currently married to my beautiful 2nd wife, who is from a small town in VA, and who never in her life considered eating things like crawfish, but I got her to try them (after I peeled them first, of course). I tell her, people in LA eat things that most people wouldn’t step on.
I have two beautiful daughters from my first marriage who are 19 and 21. My youngest, Chelsea, has had a rough time for the past year and a half and has been in and out of the hospital as a result of being a passenger in a head-on collision that killed 3 others, but she's doing great now.
Hats off to the Reunion Committee – great job!
