From Kenny :

Hello BHS '79!
I had a wonderful time at the reunion, although there were a number of folks I didn't get to speak with.  Many thanks to all of you who contributed to the smash success that was our 30 year class reunion. You guys and gals made such great sacrifices, not the least of which was missing the LSU/Georgia game while setting up the reception hall!!

I have enjoyed reading many of your bios, so I thought I would share a little about myself. I have lived in the Baton Rouge area my entire life, but was only at BHS for  our junior and senior years. After graduating from Broadmoor, I attended LSU for 2 semesters, well I was there....didn't go to class much. Some of you taught me to party very well! After years of searching for ‘truth’ and operating a wallpapering service, I went back to LSU in my thirties. I graduated in 2000 with a physical Geography degree (who knew maps were so cool?). I don’t remember taking many science classes at BHS, but then again there is a lot I don’t remember…except for the teachers strike in the spring  of our senior year. That was strange. Anyway, I was married for a while and Katie was born in 2002. She is an absolute joy and has a flair for the dramatic. As many of you know, parenthood has it's challenges, but the reward is immense. Vocationally speaking, I have worked in state government in Air Quality at LDEQ  since 2001. The plan is to work until Katie finishes college. Hopefully, she can accomplish that a lot sooner than I did. As far as my “now” picture, I figured these pics of Katie are far better than any I can find of me these days.

Fight on Broadmoor….with courage ever, falter never. Broadmoor fight fight fight! Good luck Bucs.

I've enjoyed catching up on what's been going on with many of you by way of Classmates.  It's great to know that so many of you are still either in Baton Rouge or the surrounding area. I've only bumped into a handful of you in the last 30 years, except for the 10-year reunion which I attended.  I didn't know about the 20-year.
In '83 I married my husband, Mike and we have been blessed with 3 wonderful children.  Our oldest, Cory, just turned 20 and has just started his 2nd year at LSU.  Kristen, our only daughter, is will soon be 18 and is finishing her last year of high school at, oddly enough, our
rival, Woodlawn, ha ha.  And our youngest, Josh, is in special ed. at Twin Oaks Elem.  He has Down Syndrome with considerable developmental delay.

Even though there are so many of you I didn't know except for passing you in the hall every day or maybe returning a smile, I'll always feel a special connection with you.  Also, I feel really blessed to have reconnected recently with a couple of my best friends from school.

I met my wife Lisa at SLU. We raised two sons.

We lived on Goodwood Blvd for 15 years, and moved to St Tammany 6 years ago.
We live in a rural area, and have 4 dogs and 2 cats.

Our youngest son Ben attends SLU and is a Chemistry major.

Our oldest son Jeff was killed in action in Falluja in 12/04.  He was a Platoon Sgt in the Marines. It was his second tour in Iraq.

I have attatched a link to an article about him.  He was awarded the Silver Star, and 2 purple hearts during his time he served.

Thank you guys so much for putting this together!  You have done a great job. I just looked at the "In Memory" page and was shocked and saddened to see how many of us have died.  Even with the saddness, it is incredibly nice to see and hear from so many people I have not seen for SO long.  Here is the quick run down on me:  married, retired attorney, artist ,with three seriously beautiful girls.  I have missed all of the other reunions, but I better not miss this one!

I've been happily married to a wonderful man for 11 years.  We have two sons (25 and 23).  Our youngest has been married for 1 1/2 years.  Our oldest is leaving for Iraq in June.  My husband and I moved to California 4 years ago and absolutely love it.  We live outside 20 minutes of San Francisco.  I never thought I would leave Louisiana but we really enjoy living here.

I'm an office manager for a construction company  and teach first grade catechism.  My husband is COO of a logistics company.

I hope to get to see everyone soon.
