What have I been doing?

I married Beth in 1985 and after living in Colorado and Michigan, we have finally settled down in Katy, Texas.  We have been there for 16 years.  I have worked for a local contractor for the last 11 years and I am currently Vice President and Chief Estimator.  We specialize in concrete road paving.  And yes, I do get aggrevated with those damn road contractors because of poor traffic control.

We have 2 great kids.  Anthony 17 is a senior has all ready been accepted to LSU.  He can't wait to start college. Leigh Ann 16 is a junior and she also has her eyes set on LSU.

I still enjoy fishing and golf.  After the reunion, I plan to do more of both.   It has been an absolute blast helping put the 30 year reunion together.  I have searched long and hard and I have managed to find a few people that I have not talked to in almost 30 years.  Hope everyone likes the website.  Mary Sanders Wunstel and I have enjoyed being co-webmasters.  Mary scanned in all of the "Then" pictures and posted them as classmates signed in.  I think she has done a wonderful job.  Thanks Mary

By the way, who wants to go on a 5 or 7 day cruise for our 35th reunion?

Hello to everyone.  I am so sad to miss the big 3-0 reunion.  Have fun.

Rob and I will be in BR for the Auburn game so maybe we will bump into a few of you TIGERS running around the stadium.

Our kids are Adrian 22 (graduated from Princeton) and Kat 19 (sophomore at U. Texas).  They are our joy!

Love and best wishes for a great reunion.

Elissa

From Dwayne:

The past ten years has gone by quickly.  I haven’t changed one bit.  Well, I’m not as skinny as I used to be and my hair is turning white.  That’s OK, I can live with that.  It’s not the years, it’s the mileage.  I acquired professional registration on both industrial and mechanical engineering.  I’m an engineer all the time but I know how to some fun with it.  During this time I have traveled all over the country and half way around the world ten times.  I spent three years in Iraq with the US State Department providing engineering support for Operation Iraqi Freedom.  I have a lot of stories to tell and 2000 digital pictures.  A slow day in Baghdad can be more exciting than a fast night in Baton Rouge.  Trust me.  The Arabs were able to tell which of us were from Texas and Louisiana.  We carried the biggest knives.  One thing I learned from international travel is how great America is.  America is far above whatever country is second best.

When I returned from Iraq I finished renovating my home.  Then I sold it and got married, again.  I married the lovely Karen Leblanc.  She is also a LSU engineer.  She understands me.  Together we have four fine sons.  Two are in collage, one is in the Navy and the youngest is a senior in high school.  We have put together a new home in Prairieville.  Life has been good for us.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you again.

From Christiane:
Hi guys, thanks for finding me! It's fun to read the bios and sad to find out, how many of us have passed away.

After graduating from BHS I finished high school in Germany, got a masters degree at the university of Goettingen, Germany, and dived straight into the television business in Hamburg, Germany. Soon after I became executive producer of an evening show, I fell in love with this CBS camera man from New York City. Went there, lived there and came home with my son Allen after 4 years. Back in Hamburg I juggled my jobs as an editor-in-chief producing online content at Bertelsmann and as a single mom. Five years ago I finally met Torsten, the love of my life. Meanwhile we own a house in the suburbs of Hamburg with a big yard (a big 'hi' to the gardeners amongs us!). I worked for various companies as a communication consultant. With my current job as an interim managing director of guten-morgen-hamburg.de (good morning Hamburg) I am relaunching that news website to web 2.0 standard.

In last August my 11-year-old son Allen moved to his Daddy in New Jersey. I miss him absolutely and totally, but I am also very proud of him! He is an excellent student, plays basketball and is Mom's pride and joy. Can't wait to see him this summer. Yey!

Thinking about coming to the reunion. I keep you guys posted!
Ahoy, Chris

Ahoy, mateys, and many thanks to Mark Harrell, Meredith Eicher, my brother David, and several other Buccaneers for their not-so-gentle reminders to register for our 30th reunion. We're all looking forward to being together this Fall!

Thanks to all who've taken the initiative to get our reunion off the ground. 30 years already?

At LSU I met a girl from New York and eventually moved north with her. Pia and I have been married almost 20 years and have two sons (12 and 9). Went to law school in NY and work as an attorney. We live in a suburb of NYC, but still fly the LSU flag for every game. We visit Dana and the rest of our family in BR at least twice a year. Gotta get our fix of home cooking!

I walked the Broadmoor campus last trip and it really brought back fond memories. Can't wait for the reunion!
