State/Prov.: CT Country: US Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 From Elizabeth: My how time flies when your havin' fun! Let's see, where do I begin. The summer before senior year, my parents moved to California with me in tow. I loved it out there and started my senior year at Irvine High. But missed you all so much, so I moved back to Baton Rouge 2nd semister and lived with family friends who became my 2nd family. After graduating and surviving senior trip (remember how burned we got in fla.) I went to college in Ca. and stayed there for 16 years. Living from Hermosa Beach to Laguna Beach and everything in-between. |

State/Prov.: Indiana Country: US Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 8 From Gractia: I am married to my best friend, and we both had 4 children, three girls and one boy each. They live in Ky, Il., In. and LA. We have such a wonderful life, we have lived in Kentucky, and Texas and then found our way to the "land of the frozen choosen", that's what we call it. My husband and I had CDL training schools before we decided we would retire. Of course he got bored and found a wonderful job in the transportation industry and when we made the move I decided to work as well. I am also in the trucking industry. I am a recruiter and fleet manager to an over the road logistics cooperation. We are expecting our 11th grandchild. We have 8 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Yes, lots of girls just like when I was growing up. We have a farm in KY. where we spend our weekends with the family. |

State/Prov.: TX Country: US Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 From Vanessa: Well, as I always say, "You can take the girl out of Louisiana, but you can't take Louisiana out of the girl!!!" That describes me perfectly. My best friend and your popular classmate, Rhonda Petty Stevens, called me last night for our "every 6 month/3 hour cotch-up conversation". Excitedly, she told me about the reunion and our website. I think it sounds terrific, even though I attended Broadmoor for my senior year only. I guess for me, it will be like making brand new friends, while getting to explore my beloved Baton Rouge/LSU campus. How fun! Plus, all '79 grads absolutely love 80's music, and a cool beverage enjoyed in Tiger Town! OK, back to reality.... Currently, I'm a 4th grade Language Arts teacher just outside of Houston, Texas. No doubt, by early October, I"ll deserve a breather. So, mon 'chers', Rhonda and I will see you all soon. Vanessa Davis Wilkins :) |

State/Prov.: MS Country: US Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 9 From Daren (Britt): It has been interesting to read everyone's comments. Indeed, life passes by far more quickly than we ever imagined 30 years ago. Following High School I attended La. Tech, LSU, and served in the U.S. Army. After a discharge from the military, a failed marriage, and a half-hearted re-visit to LSU I was aimless and self-absorbed. Bound in sin, shamed by my utter depravity, and powerfully convicted by God's Spirit, I was wonderfully and dramatically converted to Christianity in 1987 (Read a full and thorough account of my conversion at: http://www.consumingfirefellowship.org/Conversion.htm. Since that time I have sought to live my life to the glory of God and exaltation of Jesus Christ. I am married, have nine beautiful children (7 boys and two girls), live in rural SW Mississippi, and pastor a small church in Woodville. In Jesus, I have found salvation, peace, purpose, and truth. I am fulfilled, content, and above all, grateful beyond human expression. Visit my facebook account |
